The poet says the reader may be crazy because the poet says a cat must be named 3 different kinds of names which are
* A name for family use
*A name that is dignified
*A name that only the cat knows and the name which cannot be found with human research

Hope this helps you !!

Eliot says that naming of cats isn't easy or simple. Surely he thinks differently from many others in the society.

People will say give some name to a cat, how does its matter? But Eliot thinks that naming a cat isn't like playing a holiday game, where winning or losing doesn't matter. Naming cats is important and serious matter.

That's why the author expects that readers will think that he is crazy.

kvnmurty: Another point: Eliot says that in his opinion, Cats (must) have three names. This opinion may appear to be madness to others. So others may feel he is crazy.
