no ,the event clearly showed that he was undoubtedly better than Harris and George but he was he was also not a dab handed packer. he forgot to pack some things and forgot whether he has packed his toothbrush or not. and a we know that" in the land of blinds the one eyed man is the king " .and the same is true here.

The jerome prided himself on his packing abilities.packing was one of those things in which he had no equals.Atleast jerome & harris couldn't equal him in this heart. he had a very poor opinion of harris.he consideredvhim to be the worst packer in the world.he was proud of his energetic nature.He wanted george & harris to learn the art of packing from him by working under his directions.

He wents proved other wise.jerome was alse a bundle of confusion when he himself indulged in this job.he was of a forget full nature,he got the back packed up atleast. but harris reminded him ded he had forgotten to put his boots inside the bag . just as he was going to close the bag, a horrible idea occurred to him. he didn't know weather he had put his tooth brush inside or not . He found it finally inside a boot after a long search . such events make us dought full about the narrator's claimed. They hardly justify him as a perfect packer .
