The Avia BH-33 was a biplane fighter aircraft with single-seat used during World War II. Czechoslovakian company Avia as well as Ikarus and PWS under license manufactured Avia BH-33. It was an improved version of the BH-21 an earlier fighter that had promising combat performance. In 1927 on 21 October, The Avia BH-33 took its first flight. It was very soon used in the Czechoslovak Air Force. Approximately 180 BH-33's were manufactured at that time.
