The National Bureau of investigation received a tip on a very important case that bureau been working on. It deals with massive drugs dealing using hotel suites as sleeping places of high-profile drug dealers. The Bureau sought the cooperation of the hotel management for the entrapment operation. Wire-tapping devices were installed. the adjacent suite was reserved for NBI agents as a stakeout. Was the operation legal and justified?

Identifying this scenario as legally justified or not is a question of ethical values.

The answer to it can be different for different people. For me, I feel it is a violation of customer privacy if the hotel allows this operation. When we go to a hotel suite we are entitled to full privacy. if the tip is definite I am sure better ways can be sought.

If such actions are allowed by any hotel this will deplete their customer rating as an invasion of privacy is not a trivial matter.

Therefore according to me, the operation is not legal and justified.
