Answer:

Nurture the nature for our future – with this motto, the students are given a chance to visit Wild life sanctuary or National park. It provides a first hand experience to the students and it makes them aware of the rising need of preserving nature and conserving natural resources. Eco clubs and Nature Camps being organized by the institutions enable to serve this purpose well. Each school (govt/aided /recognized private institutions) can organize one camp every financial year. 40 students are allowed to participate in the camp. For 19 students there should be one escorting teacher. Food and accommodation will be provided free. Camp duration for higher secondary students is 70 hours. During the visit to National parks or wild life sanctuaries, the students are directed to wear soft/mild coloured dress and they should avoid carrying plastic carry bags / items, match box and other such items. The head of the institution should submit an application along with a self declaration stating that no camps are availed so far in the financial year to the wildlife warden of the venue concerned. Schools have freedom in choosing the venue for organizing nature camp.
