Hey there....!!

Q) The natural frequency of an air column in a pipe of length 17 cm is 500 Hz. At what length of an air column a tuning fork of frequency 250 Hz will resonate with it?

A) Given -:
length of the pipe => 17 cm

natural frequency of the air column => 500 Hz

Frequency of the given tuning form => 250 Hz

Let the length of the air column be x. Then,
natural frequency of the air column * length of the pipe = frequency of the tuning fork * length of the air column

500*17 = 250*x
(500*17)/250 = x
34 cm = x

Hence, the length of the air column is 34 cm => @nswer...!!
