Answer:

Yes, India's economic growth has been jobless growth in recent times mainly due to the negative / almost zero employment elasticity. Most economic sectors in India have employment elasticity close to zero except few such as construction. ... The number of workers did not only decrease in farm sector but also manufacturing.

The nature of economic growth in India can be described as jobless growth.

•I agree to this completely because :

•These days,people are suffering from unemployment .

•Except in construction sector,no other sector is willing to employ people these days.

•Because of over population in India, unemployment problems have been increasing.

•The number of workers are decreasing in farm and manufacturing sector.

•According to the government, year by year, industries requiring large amounts of investments to produce goods are coming up rather than industries which need large amount of labour.

•These are some of the reasons why the economic growth in India is considered to be a jobless growth.
