The near point of a hypermetropic eye is 1m.what is the nature and the power of the required lens to correct this defect? (assume that the near point of the normal eye is 25 cm)

The lens required to treat the hypermetropic eye is a Convex lens.
Now it is given that,
u = 25 cm
and v = 100 cm
Now by using the lens formula, i.e., 1/v - 1/u = 1/f, you can find out the focal length and subsequently you can find the power of the lens.
