The need of celebrating women's day shows how awareness is necessary to show a woman's necessity and respect to the mankind. Shouldn't it come natural? Discuss.

Answer:

"Every man has a woman in his success story" If so, then why is this woman praised for everything only once a year? Why her sacrifices for the family, her hard work, her love and every single thing she does aren't praised everyday? During breakfast, when she says lovingly to her child to eat first and then study, the child replies back, 'Mom you don't know how much I need to study! Please let me do my work peacefully.' and now this is so natural and common that even if the child argues back, the fault is seen in the mother and not the child's behaviour.

When she's a child, she isn't let to go abroad and study. In fact, her brother is allowed the freedom to do everything he wants, but if she even laughs a bit louder, she's given a lecture. No one sees the pain in her eyes, the only thing they say is, 'Why are you so moody? Be happy, otherwise your children will also be very moody.' as if she's only meant for the house. She's meant to fly, she's meant to manage the world and not only the house.

And all these things vanish when the day comes "8th March". Everyone starts praising her work and makes her feel special. But all this "only for a day", as soon as the next day's sun rises, everyone forgets the appreciation and she's again treated the way she was being treated before. They call her a "housewife" but she's a "homemaker". The house isn't a home if there isn't a woman living there. Her loud laughs, her care, her love for the family, everything contributes in the making of the home.

Thus, I would conclude saying that awareness is necessary to show a woman's necessity and respect to the mankind, but this should come natural and not "only for one day", but for a "lifetime".

Mankuthemonkey01: exactly. it's a shame we have to "aware" people about women. It should come naturally, the respect for them.

Answer:

International Women’s Day events are held worldwide on March 8. Various women, including political, community, and business leaders, as well as leading educators, inventors, entrepreneurs, and television personalities, are usually invited to speak at various events on the day. Such events may include seminars, conferences, luncheons, dinners or breakfasts. The messages given at these events often focus on various themes such as innovation, the portrayal of women in the media, or the importance of education and career opportunities.

Many students in schools and other educational settings participate in special lessons, debates or presentations about the importance of women in society, their influence, and issues that affect them. In some countries school children bring gifts to their female teachers and women receive small presents from friends or family members. Many workplaces make a special mention about International Women’s Day through internal newsletters or notices, or by handing out promotional material focusing on the day.
