The Nelson Family owns a orchard. 43% of the trees in the orchard are apple trees. If there are 378 Apple trees, how may trees are in the orchard?

let us suppose that the number of tress in the orchard to be x

Then, number of apple tress= 43% of x

But According to question the number of trees of apple = 378

Therefore 43%of x=378

=> (43*x)/100=378

=> 43*x=37800

=> x=37800/43

=>x= 879 (after removing the decimal  because number of trees can't be in decimal)
