Given:

4 kg mass under the influence of three forces.

To find:

Net acceleration of the object?

Calculation:

  • Net force along X axis = 20 - 12 = 8 N.

  • Weight = 4g = 40 N. So, 10 N force along Y axis will not be able to lift the mass from the floor.

So, net force of object will be the force along X axis :

F =  8 \: N

 \implies a =   \dfrac{8}{m}

 \implies a =   \dfrac{8}{4}

 \implies a = 2 \: m/ {s}^{2}

So, acceleration of the mass is 2 m/.

F = 20 - 12 = 8N

and,

m = 4kg

By using,

a = F/m

⇒ 8/4

⇒ 2m/s²
