Calculation:
- Net force along X axis = 20 - 12 = 8 N.
- Weight = 4g = 40 N. So, 10 N force along Y axis will not be able to lift the mass from the floor.
So, net force of object will be the force along X axis :
So, acceleration of the mass is 2 m/s².

and,

By using,
a = F/m
⇒ 8/4
⇒ 2m/s²
