Answer: the never-never nest is a pretty ironic and satirical story about buying material things and eventually a baby on installment basis.

Explanation: buy-now-pay-later sounds like an easy and convenient way to buy anything you want for a middle-class family. as convenient as it sounds, practically it does not seem to work well with just any family. Here we see jack and jills family struggling to meet both ends. But surprisingly for them, it doesn't seem like an impossible job as they say that they can easily pay one installment by borrowing from another as a loan which they will eventually have to pay back as installments. As aunt jane talks about how "one should spend less than they have earned" they fail to realize that this extra spending of money will only leave them with a huge debt in the end. this portrays the foolish and egotistic behavior of humans.
