It is quite true the poem Night of the Scorpion by Nissim Ezekiel shows a mother’s love and warmth for her children and family members. Mothers, all across the world are Gods; they can bear any amount of pain and agony to keep their families safe and happy. Poet’s mother was also great. Though she bore the pain of the scorpion bite long, yet she was happy. The mother was thankful to God for sparing her children from the scorpion’s bite. She did not blame Him for letting the scorpion bite her.
