The Nine gems of Akbar court were  a pool of talents from diverse fields. They were Abul Fazl, Abdul Rahim Khan-I-Khana, Birbal, Mulla Do-Piyaza, Faizi, Raja Man Singh, Raja Todar Mal, Faqir Azio-Din and Tansen.

  • Abu’l-Fazl  was the Grand Wazir of Akbar. Abdul Rahim Khan-I-Khana was a famous poet in Akbar's court,  Man Singh, was a Rajput, and a king of a place called Amber. Faizi was a great poet and a scholar, who was appointed by Mughal King Akbar
  • Birbal was Akbar's favourite Navratna and very famous even today through stories. Raja Todar Mal was the Finance Minister in Akbar's court and helped the Mughals in financial matters.
  • Fakir Aziao-Din was a chief advisor and a mystic in the emperor’s court, Mulla Do-Piyaza was also a witty courtier and a rival to Birbal on the matters of wit. Tansen was a musician, composer and vocalist. Tansen’s work was loved by Akbar a lot.
