The no. 2, How many 2cm x 2cm x 2cm cubes can be packed in a box 1m long. 20cm wide and 4cm deep. Thanks

Answer:

for box:-

l = 1m = 100cm

b = 20cm

w = 4cm

volume of cuboid

= l x b x w

= 100cm x 20cm x 4cm

= 8000cm³

for cubes:-

side = 2cm

volume

= side³

= (2cm)³

= 8cm³

now, no. of cubes that can be packed in the box

= volume of box/volume of one cube

= 8000cm³/8cm³

= 1000

therefore, 1000 cubes can be packed in the box
