The maximum value of flux in the core is 4.8412 A .

Step 1: Find the maximum value of flux.

Given - Current I_0 = 5A

Power factor = cos\phi_0 = 0.25

Number of turns in primary winding = 200

Using formula,

I_0 = \sqrt{I_M^2 + I_u^2}

Where , I_u is an active or working component of no-load current and I_M is a magnetizing component of no-load current or flux .

I_u = I_0cos\phi_0

I_u = 5×0.25 = 1.25

I_0 = \sqrt{I_M^2 + I_u^2}

5 =\sqrt{I_M^2 + 1.25^2}

25=I_M^2 + 1.5625

I_M^2 =25-1.5625

I_M^2 = 23.4375

I_M=\sqrt{23.4375}

I_M= 4.8412\ A
