Here is the answer to your query.

Given : The time for which a labour works and his wages is x hours and Rs y respectively.

Then y = 2x – 1
When x = 1 we have y = 2 – 1 = 1
When x = 2 we have y = 4 – 1 = 3
When x = 3 we have y = 6 – 1 = 5

Plotting to points (1, 1), (2, 3), and (3, 5) on the graph paper and drawing the line joining them we obtain the required graph.

To find the coordinates of point when x = 6 we draw a line parallel to y axis passing through (6, 0). The line meets the graph of y = 2x – 1 at a point from which we draw a line parallel to x axis which crosses y axis at y = 11

Hence the wages of labour if he works for 6 hours is Rs 11.
