The carbon atoms will join to each other by forming sigma bonds by the end-to-end overlap of their sp3 hybrid orbitals. Hydrogen atoms will join on wherever they are needed by overlapping their 1s1 orbitals with sp3 hybrid orbitals on the carbon atoms.
