Given:

No2 content of sample of air measured at STP conditions = 16 ppm

To find:

NO2 concentration in microgram per cubic meter.

Solution:

From the density of water we can define that:

1 meter cubed of water = 1000 kilograms

Therefore, 1 ppm = 1000 microgram per meter cubed.

So, 1 microgram per metre cubed = 0.001 ppm

Therefore 16 ppm = 16,000 microgram per metre cubed.

Therefore the NO2 concentration in microgram per cubic meter will be 16,000 microgram per metre cube.
