Nobles were very powerful because since they had a large area of land and large scale of land due to which they can provide jobs to many small peasants due to which they hold the power. So many small peasants respect them due to the fear of losing the job also because Muhammad bin Tughlaq was a puppet and Feroz shah tughlaq concentrated only in making buildings. This made the noble powerful.
