Non cooperation movement was the movement started by Mahatma Gandhi with British in 1920 and asked the people not to assist foreign government to rule over them. The non cooperation movement significantly affected the british economy but it fail later due to the violent incident occurred at chaurichaura. A profession of about 3000 peasants..set a Police station on fire killing 22 policemen.. there were a few violent incidents in the other parts of the country. Gandhiji a believer in ahimsa was greatly shop at these incidents and thus he withdrew the non cooperation movement .
