The Graph of this parabola is given in the Attachment.
The Parabola " y² = 4 a x " is symmetric with respect to x-axis.
⇒ This Parabola passes through the Origin (0 , 0).
⇒ Y-axis is a tangent to the Curve at Origin (0 , 0).
Chord:-
- It is a Line Segment.
- It joins any two points on any curve.
So there in no such chord that makes a Right Angle at the Vertex.
Only the Tangent Line makes a Right Angle with the Axis of Parabola.
Slope of Tangent in this case is Undefined ( ∞ ).
