The novel Harry Potter and the Philospher stone indeed constantly focuses on the ideas of good and evil. This can be proved by looking at the following instances:

1. The very first incident that portrays the idea of good over evil was when Hagrid tells Harry about how his parents were killed by Voldemort. In that scene we got to know that Harry was saved from the curse of Voldemort due to a safety spell around Harry from the love of his mother and that was the reason for the so called death of Voldemort.
2. The second incident is when in the end Harry fights with Professor Quirrell, who was carrying Voldemort in his body. When the professor tries to snatch the philospher stone from Harry, he was burnt to ashes. Once again in the end, Voldemort was left powerless and without any proper form.
