Novels

Explanation:

Yes, the novels played a significant role in creating awareness about issues relating to women in society.

In the 18th century, women were introduced to the world novels because they had more time to read as the families were affluent. Also the print revolution made novels available for everyone. Novels were set on subjects that discussed the emotions, identity, experience and problems faced by women. Women wrote about their domestic life and earned recognition. Some authors wrote about women who broke the traditional norms of the society. These stories inspired the life of their readers in many ways.

For example, Jain Austen is the author of Pride and Prejudice. In this book, the author wrote about the women in rural societies in the mid-19th century in Britain. She discussed the dependence of women on marriage for financial security and how the men in the society were preoccupied with money and prosperity.
