a =50 ,d= -4 , n= 8

since,Sn = n/2{2a+ (n-1)d}

so,S18=18/2{2(50)+(18-1)-4

=9{100+(17) -4}

=9{100+(-68)}

=9{32}

=288

so,Sn=288
