Solution:

The standard equation for for nth term of an A.P is:

⇒an=a+(n-1)d

From the given equation in question,

a1=3+4=7 [By Putting n=1]

∴a1=a=7  -----> 1

Now,

a2=3+8=11 [By Putting n=2 in given equation]

∴a2=11  -------->2

Also,

a2=a+(2-1)d  [From the standard equation of A.P]

11=7+d [From 1 and 2]

∴d=4
