AnswEr :-

• nth term of the AP is 8 - 3n

Given :-

• An AP as 5, 2, -1, -4, -7.

To Find :-

• nth term of the AP.

SoluTion :-

Here,

• First term, a = 5

• Common difference, d = 2 - 5 = -3

Formula for finding n terms of an AP is :-

» Tn = a + (n - 1)d

Tn = 5 + (n - 1) ×(-3)

Tn = 5 - 3n + 3

Tn = 8 - 3n

Hence, nth term of the AP is 8 - 3n.
