nth \: term \\ = a + (n - 1)d \\ = a - d + nd = 7 - 4n \\ \: comparing \\ a - d = 7 \\ d = - 4 \\ a = 3 \\
hence 8th term
=3+7×(-4)
3-28

Hello
----------

nth term of an AP = (7 - 4n)

8th term = ?

Now,

First term = 7 - 4 × 1 = 7 - 4 = 3

Second term = 7 - 4 × 2 = 7 - 8 = - 1

Common difference = Second term - First term = - 1 - 3 = - 4

So,

8th term = 3 + 7 × (-4)

= 3 - 28

= - 25
