Answer:

3–5 =-2

-1-(1) = -1–1=-2

-5-(-3)= -5+3 =-2

The difference between two consecutive terms is -2.

Hence it is an Arithmetic progression.

First term = 5

Common difference d = -2

nth term tn

tn = a+(n-1)d

= 5+(n-1)-2

= 5–2n+2

=7–2n

Ans : 7–2n

\boxed{\bf{\blue{\longrightarrow Answer}}}

  • Here a = 5 , d = 1-5 = -4
  • a(n) = a + (n-1) d
  • = 5+(n-1)-4
  • = 5-4n+4
  • = 9-4n
