Given:

  • Secondly 8000 is decreased by 20%.

To Find:

  • The resulting number.

Answer:

Given that a number 8000 is firstly increased by 20% and then decreased by 20%.

Step 1: To add 20% of 8000 to 8000.

Now , 20% of 8000

= 20/100 ×8000.

= 1600.

Adding 1600 to 8000 = (8000+1600)= 9600 .

Step 2: To subtract 20% of 9600 from 9600.

Now , 20% of 9600

= 20/100 × 9600

= 1920.

Subtracting 1920 from 9600 =(9600-1920)=7680 .

Hence the required answer is 7680.
