⟶ 7(y + 8) = 10(y + 5)

⟶ 7y + 56 = 10y + 50

⟶ 56 - 50 = 10y - 7y

⟶ 6 = 3y

⟶ 6/3 = y

⟶ 2 = y

Substitute the value y in equation (1).

⟶ x = 2 + 3

⟶ x = 5
