The no. of boys and girl in the class are given in ratio of 7:5

Let the no. of boys be 7x

and girls be 5x ..

A/Q .

The no. of boys is 8 more than girls ..

so ,

5x + 8 = 7x

7x - 5x = 8

2x = 8

x = 4

The no. of girls is 5x = 5 × 4 = 20

The no. of boys = 7x = 7× 4 = 28

So the total strength of class is

20 + 28

48 ..
