The number of boys and girls in a class are in the ratio 7:15. The number of boys is 8 more
than the number of girls. What is the total class strength?​

the strength of the class will be = number of boys in class + number of girls in class = 7x + 5x = 12x. Now, we know that it is given in the question that the number of boys is 8 more than the number of girls. So, the number of boys should be equal to 7x =7*4 = 28
