let the constant of ratio be X
then No of boys = 7x
No of girls = 5x
also
7x=5x+8
or 2x=8
X= 4
no. of boys =7x= 28
no. of girls =5x=20

Answer:

48

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number of girls in class be x

x+8/x=7/5

CROSS MULTIPLY

we get

5x+40=7x

40=2x

2x=40

x=20

girls=20

boys=28

20+28=48
