the number of boys in a school is 334 more than the number of girls. lf the total strength of the school is 572 find the numbers of girls in the school

Let bb be number of boys and gg be number of girls in the school.
b−g=334b−g=334 ( since boys is 334 more than girls )
Moving gg to right hand side, we get b=334+gb=334+g -- ( 1 )
b+g=572b+g=572 ( since total strength of school is 572 ) -- ( 2 )
Substituting for bb from ( 1 ) in ( 2 ),
g+334+g=572g+334+g=572
2g=572−334=2382g=572−334=238
g=2382=119g=2382=119
Hence number of girls in school is 119.
