it is one per unit cell as the 6Cl negative encloses only one Na plus cation hence there was initially 24 atoms so 6-ve ions enclosed 1+ve cation then by geometry 1-ve ion encloses 1/6 part of cation hence 24 atoms are given so by multiply by 24 you will get 4 cations
