denominator = 1250

  • 1250 = 5×5×5×5×2
  • 1250 = 5³2¹

Thus multiply the fraction by 2²/2²

Thus it would not change the original value of the fraction (as 2²/2² = 1) and

the denominator =

  • 5³ × 2¹ × 2²
  • 5³ ,× 2³
  • (10)³ = 1000

Thus the rational number will terminate after 3 digit of decimals .
