The number of electrons in an atom is 8 and the number of proton is also 8.Find the atomic number and charged on the atom?

As we know that.
no. of proton =atomic number.
therefore
atomic number of that atom will be 8.
and that atom will be Oxygen (O2).
and also there will be no charge because there is equal number of proton(+tive) and electron(-tive) .

ATomic no: No.of electrons + no.of protons = 16
Charge on atom = No.of etra electron or no.of extra proton=0(since no.of electrons is equal to no.of protons).
