Answer:

Explanation:

Given The number of electrons in oxygen atoms in 0.3 g molecule of mohr's salt is

We know that

1 g molecule = 6.023 x 10^23

Therefore 0.3 g molecule will be 0.3 x 6.022 x 10^23

                                        = 1.8066 x 10^23 molecules of Mohr’s salt

1 molecule of mohr’s salt has 14 oxygen atom

So 1.8066 x 10^23 molecules have 1.8066 x 10^23 x 14

                                                 = 25.2924 x 10^23 oxygen atom

1 oxygen atom has 8 electrons.

Therefore 25.294 x 10^23 oxygen atoms will have 25.294 x 10^23 x 8

                                                                  = 202.3392 x 10^23

So 202.3392 x 10^23 / 25.294 x 10^23

            = 33.6

chemical formula of Mohr's salt is FeSO_4.(NH_4)2SO_4.6H_2O

here we can see, in one mole of Mohr's salt 14 moles of oxygen atoms are present.

so, 0.3 mole of Mohr's salt contains 14 × 0.3 = 4.2 moles of oxygen atoms.

[ remember , 0.3g molecule = 0.3 mole ]

now we know, in one oxygen atoms 8 electrons are present.

so, 4.2 moles of oxygen atoms contain 8 × 4.2 = 33.6 moles of electrons.

hence, number of electrons in oxygen atoms = 33.6 moles

we know, 1 mole of electrons = 6.023 × 10²³ atoms

so, number of electrons in oxygen atoms = 33.6 × 6.023 × 10²³

= 202.3728 × 10²³

= 2.023728 × 10^25 [Ans]
