When the number of electrons increase when we move from left to right in a leriod the effective nuclear charge increases and as a result the size of atom decreases.
In other words when electrons increase the nucleas pulls them with even greater force because nucleus has protons in it Thus by this pull the atomic size decreases when we go from left to right in a period

On moving left to right one period the atomic size will decreases because the no of neutron increases
