The number of girls and boys in a class are in the ratio 5:4 the number of girls in 6 more than number of boys what is the total class strenght​

Let one part of the ratio = x

We have,

Number of girls = 5x

Number of boys = 4x

The equation we get:

5x = 4x + 6

5x - 4x = 6

Therefore, x = 6

The number of students in the class are

5x + 4x = 9x

9x = 9 x 6

= 34 students are in the class
