the number of girls in a hockey team is three less than twice the number of boys. if the number of girls is 15 how many boys are there in the team?

Let the number of boys be x .


Then number of girls are :-

3 less than twice the boys

= 2x - 3


A / q ,

2x - 3 = 15


=> 2x = 18


=> x = 9


So ,

number of boys = 9 .
