The number of images formed between two plane mirrors inclined at right angles is D. three

Given:

Angle between two mirrors = θ = 90° = Right angle

To find:

Number of images = n = ?

Formula used:

n=\frac{360}{\theta}-1

Solution:

On substituting angle in above formula, we get,

n=\frac{360}{90}-1

n=4-1

\therefore n =3

When the angle between mirrors is 180° then only single image is obtained. If the angle decreases, then the number of images increases. If the angle increases, then the number of images decreases.
