Mosquitoes and other insects are the food for the frogs to eat, the increase in malaria patient indicates that the number of increased mosquitoes. As frogs were exported from the village, there was no alternative as the food chain is disturbed. As there is a decrease in the number of frogs the no. Of mosquitoes increased.

Malarial mosquitoes are eaten by frogs. When frogs are removed, there would be no predator to that mosquito and hence they will increase their number and causes malaria more. Therefore there will be more malaria patients when there will be no frogs.

Or
The tadpole of the frog use to feed on the larvae of the mosquito which were breeding in the puddles and ponds of the village. As mosquito were the carrier of the disease malaria, so as the frog get exported there is no organism left to feed on the larvae of the mosquito thus increasing their number. Thus the disease spread tremendously.
Phytoplanktons→ mosquito larva/mosquito →Tadpoles/frog
