we have to find number of molecules in 22.4 cm³ or 22.4 ml of nitrogen gas at STP.

at standard temperature and pressure (STP), volume of one mole of gas = 22.4 L = 22400 ml.

so, number of mole in 22.4ml = 22.4ml/22400ml = 1/1000 = 0.001

so, number of moles of nitrogen gas at STP = 0.001

now number of molecules of nitrogen gas = number of mole of nitrogen gas × 6.022 × 10²³

= 0.001 × 6.022 × 10²³

= 6.022 × 10^20

hence, number of molecules of nitrogen gas = 6.022 × 10^20

Answer:

6.022×10^20

Explanation:

molar volume =22400cm^3

n= given volume ÷ molar volume

= 22.4÷22400

= 0.001

n= given number ÷ Avagadro constant

given number = 0.001 × 6.022 × 10^23

= 6.022 × 10^20
