Correct Question: The number of molecules of Carbon Dioxide liberated by the complete combustion of 0.1 g atom of graphite in air is

Solution: Since we know that graphite is completely made up of Carbon hence,

C (0.1 gram) + O₂ → CO₂

→ No. of moles of Carbon used = 0.1 g/12 g/mol

0.008 moles of Carbon

→ 1 mole of Carbon produce = 1 mole of CO₂

→ 0.008 mole of C produce = 0.008 mole of CO₂

→ 1 mole of CO₂ = 6.022 × 10²³ molecules

→ 0.008 mole of CO₂ = 6.022 × 10²³ × 0.008

→ 0.048016 × 10²³ or 4.8 × 10²¹ molecules
