Given:-

→Mass of Oxygen(O₂)=8g

To find:-

→The number of moles of CO₂ which contains 8 gram O₂

Solution:-

=>Atomic mass of Oxygen(O)=16u

Thus,molecular mass of O₂:-

=>2(16)

=>32u

Molecular mass of O is 32u

Molar mass of O is 32g.

No of moles:-

=>Given mass/Molar mass

=>8/32

=>0.25 mole

Thus,no of moles of oxygen is 0.25.

In CO:-

•1 mole of CO₂ contains 1 mole O₂

•Hence,0.25 mole of CO₂ will contain 0.25 mole O₂

Thus,0.25 mole of CO will contain 8.0g of Oxygen.
