His father thought of changing such behaviour, and handed him a bag of nails, to hammer them into the wooden fence every time he lost his temperament.

As the day went by, he put around thirty seven nails into the fence. This was a lot of hard work, and made him tired.  

Gradually, over the next few days, the boy matured soothed his nerves and learned to regulate his temper.

The considerable number of nails he was driving into the fence significantly decreased.
