Given  :  quadrilateral formed by the line 2x+y=2, x=0, y=0 and x+y=5

To find : number of points p(x, y) with natural numbers as coordinates that lie inside the quadrilateral

Solution :

2x+y=2,

x=0, y=0

x+y=5

2x+y=2,  & x=0

=> (0 , 2)

2x+y=2, & y=0

=> ( 1 , 0)

x+y=5 & x = 0

=> ( 0 , 5)

x+y=5 & y = 0

=> ( 5 , 0)

Points lying inside

( 1, 1) , ( 1 , 2) , (  1 , 3)

(2 , 1) , ( 2 , 2)

(3 , 1)

6 Points lying inside  with natural numbers as coordinates  in quadrilateral formed by the line 2x+y=2, x=0, y=0 and x+y=5
