Given ,

Increase in students = 35%

Number of students = 756

To Find :-

Number of students in the camp the previous year.

Solution :-

Let the number of students in the camp in previous year be x

Increase in students = 32% of x

=\: {\dfrac{32 \times x}{100}}

=\: {\dfrac{8 \times x}{25}}

Total number of students increased = x\: +\: {\dfrac{8 \times x}{25}}

=\: {\dfrac{33x}{25}}

According to question ,

=>\: {\dfrac{33x}{25}}\: =\: 756

x\: =\: {\dfrac{756 \times 25}{33}}

=> x = 572.72

= 573

Therefore, number of students the previous year was 573.
